On the topic of the Tupinambá feather capes housed in European museums, if you aren't familar with Glicéria Tupinambá's story about her encounter with the feather cape housed at the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris it's a particularly impactful account of Tupinambá forms of knowledge preservation colliding with western notions of the object's history.
