Hiatus
A note about the future

Modern Medieval
by David M. Perry and Matthew Gabriele
Hello subscribers! We have a bit of an update…
As you may remember, we announced a little while ago that David had hoped to maintain this page while Matt went on hiatus, but with David’s own teaching, his new book coming out, his local newspaper column, his new book he’s writing, and then the rest of life as well, it just hasn’t been happening.
So, to acknowledge this new (unfortunate) reality, we wanted to let you all know that this page will be going on a bit of a hiatus overall. Think of it as a pause.
The site itself isn’t going anywhere though, because we have some good archived posts! But we’re turning off payments, reducing the site to free (it costs about $250 a year otherwise), and not planning on sending more messages for the immediate future. Anyone who has subscribed for a year will be refunded (but please note that it might take a minute to figure that all out). We believe no March subscriptions will be billed, but if that’s wrong, we’ll refund that too.
In the meantime:
You can follow David at Patreon (for free!), where they have recently updated newsletter features and it makes more sense for him to focus there.
As for Matt, you can check out his “American Medieval” podcast (or search for it on social media or your favorite podcasting app), or head over to his website to stay updated.
Most importantly, thank you all for reading and responding. The newsletter has been a lot of fun simply because we felt we were able to have a conversation with all of you. Modern Medieval work continues, just in other spaces. Hope to talk to you all soon.
