A New Podcast - "American Medieval"
Matt did a thing. Oh no.

Modern Medieval
by David M. Perry and Matthew Gabriele
Hello friends! Matt here and I’m pleased to announce a new podcast that might be of interest.
"American Medieval" is a podcast about the Middle Ages, but with an American twist. If I’ve learned anything over the past 3 decades doing this work, it’s that Americans think about the Middle Ages maybe more than they think about the Roman Empire (this is legit true). I always thought that neat, if weird.
So, every week me (Prof. Matthew Gabriele) and a guest will be joined by expert guests to explore with you not just the medieval world itself but how Americans, throughout our history, have used the period to make sense of ourselves. After all, if America has never been modern, it might be because we’ve always been a little bit medieval.
Podcast launches on Wednesday November 12, with new episodes every week on Wednesday. Available wherever good (and bad) podcasts are sold…
The podcast is part of the Multitude Podcast Collective, and there are production costs associated. As such, I’d be very grateful if you’d consider supporting and subscribing via the show’s Patreon - you’ll get some cool goodies if you do…
Also, just be sure to check out the homepage — AmericanMedieval.com — so you can find us on all the socials.
Happy listening, and be on the lookout for some familiar names as guests!
